Albert Dean Riedlinger

Albert Dean Riedlinger, 96, of Pekin, IL passed away at 5:13 PM Sunday, October 23, 2022 at Pekin Manor. Dean was born on October 10, 1926 in Pekin, Illinois to Albert and Clara M. (Feinholz) Riedlinger. He married Doris Jean Haller on August 5, 1951. She passed away on December 14, 2002. Surviving are: two children, Beth Ann (Norman) Prange of Walnut Creek, CA and Michael D. (Lida) Riedlinger of Rochester, NY; three grandchildren, Laura Prange, Clara Rose and William Michael Anthony Riedlinger. Dean was a WWII veteran of the United States Army having served in the Pacific Theater of Operations as a Technician and Medic with the 24th Infantry Division. He was the owner of Pekin Plumbing and Heating and self-employed as a plumber for forty-one years retiring in 1987. Dean was a member of First United Methodist Church for over 82 years. He served on the Administrative Board, Chairman of Stewardship committee and Chairman of Trustees for nine years. He was also a member of Empire Lodge #126 AF & AM, Knights of Pythias #216, William Schaefer Post 44 of the American Legion and a life member of Roy L. King VFW Post 1232. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, October 27, 2022 at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Judy Doyle officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM 6:00 PM Wednesday, October 26th at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory and from 10:00 AM 11:00 AM Thursday at the church. Masonic services will be held at 3:45 PM Wednesday, October 26th at the funeral home. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery with military rites provided by the United States Army. Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church memorial fund, 1315 Court St., Pekin, IL 61554 or to the Miller Senior Citizens Center, 551 S. 14th St. Pekin, IL 61554.
