Albert "Al" O. Dion

Albert "Al" O. Dion, 83, of Mesa, Arizona, formerly of Pekin, IL passed away at 10:30 PM Saturday, March 19, 2022 in Mesa, AZ. He was born on March 10, 1939 in Charlemont, MA to Alfred and Claudia Dion. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother; two sisters and one grandson, Justin Petty. He is survived by his wife, Hazel; his children, Steven Dion, Holly (Kevin) Covington, Donna (Larry) Petty and Amanda Dion, Karen (Jeff) Tilly, Kay (Bill) Hanna and David (Lingling) Kline all of Pekin; fifteen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. Al served in the United States Navy. He first managed Kennys Shoes and then worked at Wabco Factory and St. Paul United Church of Christ. After retiring, he started Dions Woodcrafts specializing in wood carving. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2022 from 1:00 4:00 PM at North Pekin Village Hall 206 Lincoln Blvd. North Pekin, IL 61554.
