Marcella Wright

Marcella J. Wright, 84, of Pekin passed away at 2:32 pm Tuesday, February 2, 2010 in the Emergency Room at Pekin Hospital.

Marcella was born on August 25, 1925 in Tremont, IL to Albert and Pearl (Ryan) Keller. She married William Wright on November 29, 1947 in Pekin, IL. He survives in Pekin.

Also surviving are: two daughters, Vickie Edwards of Pekin and Kathy Scoles of Montgomery, TX; two grandchildren, Troy (Heidi) Edwards and Tracy (Chawn) Spracklen both of Pekin; two sisters, Georgia Largent and Virginia Nelms both of Pekin.

Preceding in death are her parents, three sisters, two brothers and one son-in-law.

Marcella was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was a member and past president of Post #44 American Legion Auxiliary and a volunteer at Pekin Hospital. She was an avid bowler and did scrape booking for the American Legion.

Funeral Information

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Friday, February 5, 2010 at Henderson Funeral Home. Rev. Timothy Nolan will officiate. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date in Lakeside Cemetery.
