David L. Olt, 63, of Pekin died at 8:51 am Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at his home. David was born on March 30, 1946 in Pekin to Arthur E. and Catherine M. (Friedrich) Olt Sr. He married Jan Comfort Calvetti on July 29, 2009 in Pekin. He is preceded in death by his parents. Surviving is: his wife, Jan of Pekin; two step daughters, Theresa L. (Jeff) Penkwitz of Hayward, WI and Tammi (Eric) Johnson of Vero Beach, FL; three brothers, Arthur E. Olt Jr. of Pekin, Thomas S. (Lisa) Olt of Los Altos, CA and Bradley F. Olt of Pekin. David attended Canton Jr. College and Western Illinois University. He was employed by the Illinois Department of Transportation retiring in 2002. He had served as a union steward the Teamsters Union. David was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Pekin. Funeral InformationMemorial services will be at 3:00 pm Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at Henderson Funeral Home in Pekin. The Rev. David Carrington will officiate. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial of the cremated remains will be at a later date in Lakeside Cemetery.
